Roper was the 5th String. Dennis Dixon was the 1st string QB, he tore his ACL against Arizona. Nate Costa was the2nd string QB, he got injured in practice before Dixon got hurt. Brady Leaf was 3rd string QP, he hurt his ankle against UCLA. Cody Kemp was the 4th string QB, he got a concussion against OSU, and Justin Roper was the 5th string QB.
