This is Part 1 of a 15 minute show discussing V for Vendetta as a commentary on politics, power, and those who wield it.

If you think this movie and piece is bashing Bush, or Blair's, respective governments,

you'd be wrong.

This movie is based on a story that was written back when George Duh-Byuh was still a practicing alcoholic and was likely still playing in the snow.....

If you look at institutions and laws he's created, and destroyed, along with the loss of liberties in Britain, and see how the 'future' England of "V" was formed:

Time to pause and take a look around you..... it's a little chilling, considering the story was written over a DECADE before Bush was appointed Chancellor of Amerika.

Don'tcha' think?

  • Stalin killed more people then hitler? R u stupid? Fuckin hitler killed over 6million jews alone , plus many more none jews , stalin is a angel compared to dat fuck hitler

  • @cl65amg69

No. I'm just really patient with ignorant tools like yourself.

And a degree holder in European history.

    Stalin FAR exceeded Hitler's totals.

Hitler did kill many "none jews", but he didn't have as long as Stalin did to do his evil work.

  • the rise of fascism has just as much potential within the left as the right.

  • @george1punk2 Sighhhh This is the problem with getting your "facts" from Faux News + Limpbawl etc. Fascism, by DEFINITION cannot NOT happen on the left because it is a RIGHT WING ideology. Capiche? Extreme leftist would be communism. You'll find Faux News prpagandists claiming the Non-Repugnican administration is BOTH. What you've stated is like stating: Deers have just as much potential to kill bears as bear do deers. Umm. No. Not without ziplock bags and model glue. Or: propaganda fed fear.
  • @ROOKTABULA Communism is just as bad as Fascism. In both there is one person who rules everything.

  • @MichaelMyers87

    Umm generally, HISTORICally speaking?

    No.

Fascist leaders have tended to treat their citizens, and their rights, FAR more harshly.

And under communism, it's a party, or army rule, with a leader.

  • @cl65amg69 Stalin is'nt an angel in any context. He killed his own people. Do your research. know your facts before you go around insulting people for their supposed "lack of knowledge"

  • this is very interesting please do not remove this video

  • @ROOKTABULA hitlers volkspartei were actually liberals

  • Stalin was arguably the worst totalitarian dictator in world history. Hitler is a very close second. But Stalin ruled much longer and was responsible for many more wars and was responsible for many more deaths than hitler. Plus Stalin put several Communist Dictators in Power, resulting in even more deaths.

  • @ROOKTABULA Perhaps if you spent more time reading Philosophy and not writing "sighhhh" Them maybe you would know that Fascism and Communism do in fact have a common origin in the Philosophical work of Hegel. So your really totally wrong aren't you?.

  • end the fed

  • @ROOKTABULA That's not entirely true. Yes it's true that Fascism is the extreme of Conservatism, however, there have been many notable populists and communists that used the tools of terror that Fascists do and whose governments transformed into the "right" after a period of time in power. This is a classic result of Marx's famous model of class warfare. Julius Caesar himself--who's story is often seen as the essential poster-child of collapse of free states--was an avid populist.

  • @ROOKTABULA Well with all due respect... no. The Germans actually prospered under Hitler, he fought down the unemployment. Admittedly, he was the Black Plague as far as Jews were concerned, as well as political opponents, but overall the standard of living in Germany was higher than in the UK during that time period.

Whereas the Soviet Union's hallmarks were famine (the Holodomor) and stagnation.
