Contains flashing images. Watch it in 480p! A time lapse video taking in our drive across Ireland from Carlow town to Newcastlewest, Co. Limerick, at which stage the camera battery ran out... Recorded on Saturday morning, August 2, 2008.
Note: The crossroads in Carlow (Shamrock Square) you see briefly at 0:03 in this video also appears in this video response (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SCi8c833gso) at 4:59. In my video, the car in the other video would be approaching from the left.
Combine the two and you can drive from Waterford City to Limerick, or from Carlow to Dublin!

There's a few bad spots on the way alright, but overall it's MUCH improved compared to 5 or 10 years ago.
That Shell's very handy, cuz we do that journey a few times a year. On the topic of food, if you're driving through Mitchelstown, Co Cork, you HAVE to try the Full Irish in O'Callaghan's café, it's without a doubt the best one I've ever had, and it's always brilliant there.
