I am fontunate to have seen Al Jarreau play live numerous times in Europe and US, most recently in St. Louis in March 2011. He has lost the edge, but still is a total thrill to see him play! I only smile when I see him from this era. One of a kind!!

I saw Al today in DC at Constitution Hall with the US Air Force Band....35 years later and he's still got so much skill and rhythm. My favorite performer.I watched the Grammys tonight and nobody today even holds a candle to this type of talent

I love this song because it reminds me of a time our family had nothing but each other. Sleeping in the kitchen near the stove where the only heat was, lol. Hard times made us close. We've come a long way, all with successful careers and strong families of our own.
We truly got by.

I used to listen to this song/album over and over as a kid. I couldn't have been any more than 6 or 7 at the time. My Pop STILL has it to THIS DAY!!!!
