Visible free gold is centered in the high grade silver mineral, the very dark Stephanite with a dark blue cast. Surrounding the Stephanite is the lighter gray, silver mineral, Argentite.
Splotching around that and in between are yellowish-orange quartz-like portions that can be Electrum, a natural alloy of gold and silver.
Dark and light gray minerals are often high grade silver minerals as noted in the placard.
Electrum from alluvium placer of a river was used to make the world's first minted gold coinage in the region of present day Turkey.
