this is the stock speaker. this amp is "smoother" than when i got it. i did go to russian mullard el84s and step down the 1st and second preamp tubes to lighter sisters of the 12ax7. mine goes 5751 to 12at7 to 12ax7, so i can put the gain up to 4 or so with most of my guitars before i hear light breakup. using just the amp distortion is flabby this way, so for any crunch, i need pedals. end up turning them off cause i like the round openness of the amp w/o pedals! thanks for listening!
