  • @ProgressiveAudio, I completely agree that poverty makes religion much easier to push on people. I might not have been very articulate, but the point I was trying to make is that many, many terrorists (including the 9/11 hijackers) are fairly well-off people who are fed propaganda by their local mosque, so we should stop pretending its JUST the poverty.

  • SSpamming makes a great point about the ability of the young to get information and knowledge. A seventh century guess about the nature of reality cannot sit comfortably with the power of techno media to provide real knowledge and real science. S Spamming is right things are getting better but it will take time for the old guard to fade along with the potty beliefs which frame and limit them. Youth isn't wasted on the young!! The Culture of myth and ignorance will fade

  • kill a spider with a sledge hammer?

The war on terror is more like trying to fix a broken glass by smashing it with a sledge hammer.

  • Actually yes poverty does create an easier atmosphere for religion, which is why for example for hundreds of years the Catholic Church promoted poverty, and that the most developed nations have the least amount of religious people, I mean duh..

The reason leaders of religious countries espouse religion is to control people, I mean the Saudi royalty are really devout, pious people to you? And I'm an atheist saying this.

  • "I used to be a theist then I took an arrow to the knee."

WHAT! You too? lol did atheismo do the description?

  • 6:05 ROFL

And Allah saw that he was behind 9 proxies, and could not touch him.
