In February of 2004, third-year Ohio State wrestling head coach Tom Ryan suddenly lost his five year-old son, Teague.

Ryan, then coaching at Hofstra, and his wife Lynette were at a loss with the passing of their son, but the couple soon found overwhelming support from the Hofstra wrestling community and a project in Teagues memory was born the community would renovate the Prides wrestling complex in his name.

On Jan. 25, before the Ohio State-Hofstra dual, plans for state-of-the-art renovations to The Prides current wrestling facility and its dedication as the Teague Ryan Wrestling Complex will be announce at a fundraising brunch.

While here only a short time, Teague has left a profound impression.

Now, his memory will carry on at Hofstra as the new facility will provide the Pride wrestling program with one of the best wrestling facilities in the northeast.
