As far as we know, the only footage shot of Pt Ravi Shankar's final pop concert performance ever, at Woodstock. Even the Pandit himself didn't know this existed when I met him in Delhi on Republic day 2009.

@bighock58 A damn good reason why if you mean AFTER this festival. Ravi saw Hendrix burn his guitar & make lewd movements with it too at Woodstock. This is the complete opposite of the Indian attitude to classical music & instruments. It was viewed as sacriligeous. Nick

you can't compare him to hendrix. this is a citar. not a guitar ok guys? if hendrix was a citar player, then ok you can say this is better if this is your opinion. but there's no way you can compare them. hendrix and ravi are both amazing at what they do
