Bill Bixby, Todd Crespi, Keene Curtis & Wesley Lau in "Shattered Image" - THE MAGICIAN 1974

In many "The Magician" episodes, Tony, Jerry, Max and Dennis convene--usually in the Pomeroy's Library or den--to figure out how to trap the bag guy or otherwise resolve the episode's plot. Jerry being absent here, he is "replaced" by Captain Gottschalk.

Captain Gottschalk would appear in 3 "The Magician" episodes, the other 2 being "Ovation for Murder" and "The Illusion of The Curious Counterfeit" Part 2. (This scene is excerpted from "Shattered Image") Fans will recognize Wesley Lau (Gottschalk) for his recurring role as Lt. Anderson in Perry Mason. He would also play a man of law in many guest starring roles. Some actors are just typecast throughout their careers, and apparently Lau had that classic "cop" face.

Wesley Lau was 52 years old when he guest starred in "Shattered Image". He passed away 10 years later.

LOL! Yeah. The problem is as you see it takes me way too long to manage these uploads. When I finally compress them their quality suffers. I'll see what I can do. I was trying to upload an entire episode and the magicians requested more magic...

Man I never relized that W Lau was in 3 episodes! Now we need to see the other two...Hint! Hint!

i'm chinese and a huge fan of wesley lau, esp as lieutenant anderson in the perry mason series. i've always wondered why he has a chinese last name when he's obviously not chinese. adopted maybe? does anyone know?

Always liked Wesley Lau as Army Master Sgt. Jiggs on "The Time Tunnel". Wished he'd been on more than just a handful of episodes of that series.
