as far as ivy, there a species of ivy ACCEPTABLE to chameleons, (devil's ivy) but for this kid, that looks like ivy you found in your backyard, so i would find out what kind and for sure research it before you put it in :) oh and for those ragging about "OH you idiot they dont climb" pygmies actually find low branches to sleep on during night, some do dwell in the lower branches. but their primary husbandry is amungst the leaves. so LEAVE THE KID ALONE! hes going to do fine with brevs
ALLLL OF YOU GUYS ARE IDIOTS AND KNOW-IT-ALLS! first off leave the kid be. brevs are by far one of the most hardiest chameleons. between humidity levels, a dry out should be done atleast once in the day. 2 mistings or 2 heavy mistings a day. brevs CAN do fine in screens, but of course an aquarium is better. as far as glass reflection.. true. COVER IT UP WITH BACKGROUND OR PAPER!.
sorry, but you all are idiots including this kid. They need a GLASS HORIZONTAL vivarium, 1 because they need high humidity, and 2 because in nature they prefer to lay low to the ground with the leafs and low shrubs instead of living there life's up in the tree branches like most chameleons. This is because of there small size, and brown coloring. They need the high humidity so the glass keeps this in. Pygmys need glass over screen, do your research.
no offence dude but a kid ur age will kill it a chameleon needs a screen encloser if it sees its self in the reflection they dont like it and will die also the ivy will to also u need a uvb light and day light
i hope thats not he acge u r going to keep it in. sorry but that has to be the worst cage iv ever seen(no offence) and the ivy will kill ur chameleon. sorry but its the truth
