I own both a series one 45 combo and an artisan 15 head and cab
comparing is not realistic as both amps are being driven hard in this video.
I need an attenuator for the artisan as it is so loud and find the tonal quality of the artisan is superior to the series one .The comparison is of a 100w amp on 10% and an artisan cranked.
In the real world for most of us even a 15w artisan is too loud and attenuation is needed so I have acquired an ultimate attenuator to achieve those tones.

I have a Stage 100 Head and was wondering why there is no control kbob for the midrange on the Clean channel but there is one for the OD1 & OD2 channels?

I don't think that will be possible, because the DPR acts between the valves and the Output transformer as far as I know. So the only alternative would be an external attenuator...

Awesome tone from both.I have the series one 100 and love it,i have emailed some questions to the main address on the blackstar website several times but have never had a reply.Any ideas why Blackstar?

The Series One sounds cleaner, and less distorted ;P But that is awsome xD

very nice job guys...... I have an Artisan 15 and absolutely love it / will never sell it , till death to me part! In regards to the DPR will you guys be offering it as a separate stand alone unit in the future?

As the proud owner of the HT5 Head, amongst several other amps of all makes and price-ranges, I have to say this is one awesomely powerful and versatile amp range... and of course, they sound amazing! Buy them up people, they are tomorrow's Plexi's and Twins!
Brilliant

This should be on every amp there is. How does it work? Are the Blackstars with DPR cathode biased? Why only 10%?
