@bdkxkid It is just wearing out. My 1990 Craftsman LT4000 does the same. Gotta git used to it.

i have the same one and the steering is messed up it is lose is it anyway to tighten it up??

At one time, Craftsman tractor were great tractors.
Then around 1999-2000, things started going down the shitter.

Cool! I'm a bit baffled of why anyone would pull the spark plug wires out to clean out the chute. I know it's for safety, but if the mower was disengaged AND the engine was off, I wouldn't worry about the plug wires.

You have to disconnect the spark plug. What if some jerk sneaks up and tries to start the motor AND engage the deck without you noticing? You'd be maimed! LOL!
