While many areas in Indonesia are malaria free, malaria is still a serious issue in some parts of Indonesia. The local people have quite a number of traditional cures for malaria, one of them (depicted in this video) is papaya leaves.
Please note that Jakarta guy does not condone the use of papaya leaves as an anti-malaria medicine. If you think you have a symptom of malaria, go see a health professional.

ADDITION: The gentlemen who showed me papaya leaf as medicine method is named Mr. Hilarius ...

So Mr. Hilarius told me he was named after a Saint, so I googled it and I found it!!

(from the site - http://www.catholicity.com/encyclopedia/h/hilarus,pope_saint.html)

Pope Saint Hilarus
[Also spelled HILARIUS]
Elected 461; the date of his death is given as 28 Feb., 468. After the death of Leo I, an archdeacon named Hilarus, a native of Sardinia, according to the "Liber Pontificalis", was chosen to succeed him, and in all probability received consecration on 19 November, 461.

  • i have a question guyz, does papaya extract can cure dengue?

  • @herbolario10

What I know about papaya is that as soon as people feel they have malaria/dengue is that they will eat papaya leaves.

I had dengue last year with a super low white blood cell count and what saved me was buah jambu (guava juice).... I drank soooo much guava juice and it boosted my cell count to healthy levels within 2-3 days.

Please note, i am not a doctor so don't follow my advice without consultation of a health professional.
