I smell a rat.

Will someone pls do a frame by frame review of the effects to see that it was not lifted from the 2002 remake of The Time Machine. That also featured the Moon getting fragged by nukes as well. I haven't hear anyone mention Thundarr the Barbarian yet.

I can only imagine what the remake of When Worlds Collide will hold.

It's so Space:1999!

An object that has the volume of an asteroid, yet has the mass of a planet would have to be dense as a WHITE DWARF. This sort matter in a degenerate state can only exist under intense gravity due to stellar collapse. If a chunk of such material were ejected from a WD, it would cease to be under intense gravitational compaction, electron degeneracy pressure would be relieved and the material would explode. Will someone here with a degree in (astro)physics pls chime in?

i don't understand those critics, why the hell do you watch disaster or Science Fiction movies if all you wanted to see ar things that keep faith with science or that really can happen??

this is television for christ sake, if you want real stuff play outside with your barbie dolls..

Because good science fiction involves events and technologies that will, at some point in the future, be real because they don't break the laws of physics. If you want to watch drivel that insults your very sentience with its ludicrousness, watch professional wrestling.
