@XXYforLIFE Tithe is from a tenth of everything you gain they gave food because that was what they worked for either raising crops or sheep they gave a tenth of it.

Tithes & Offerings, Tithes were always gifts of food for priests, nothing to do with money. It is unscriptual to expect tithes from anyone in the form of money. Offerings, offerings can be anything. Of course I am referring to law of God, as described by Moses, that which you base your faith. I suppose then it's now a good thing the bible is not the word of God, so you can screw as much money as you like from the gullible and cause them to feel guilty if they do not give freely.

Did you know that if you starve yourself of food or sleep you can cause hallucinations? If you add drugs to that mix you can get as high as a kite! If you starve yourself of oxygen you can induce a 'near death experience' where you will see (assuming you're revived) a dim light in the distance. How do we know these things, scientific experimentation and NASA, who put astronauts through exacting tests to see how well they respond. I don't believe people who deprive themselves of food or sleep.

To all SDAs and Christians. Mr Doug recognized that Ellen White quoted from other documents. Plagiarism means to steal and pass off (the ideas or words of another) as one's own: use (a created production) without crediting the source. THAT'S EXACTLY WHAT ELLEN DID. SHE PUT HER NAME ON THE DOCUMENTS; SHE NEVER GAVE CREDIT TO THE ORIGINAL WRITER. Mr Doug is wrong by defending Ellen. The bible tells us to rebuke our brothers when they act wrong. Paul rebuked Peter for acting wrong (Galatians2:11)

@probber66 I've read it 5 times in it's entirety in NIV, I don't recall God promising Slaves to the Spiritual Israel, would you like to point that out for me?
Besides we're all called to be slaves for each other and to be Christ's slave.
