The worse part about this is, if you in anyway shake your head at the futility of these celebrity movements, you are branded a cynic.

People need to understand, these projects as much about celebrities grooming their own image as any genuine effort at doing some good for this world.

@PrometheanRunGood true but most charities are massively boosted by having a celebrity's face put on their company meaning that they get more exposure and a better oppurtunity to be more effective and grow and thus help more people, im with you on the celebrities who are only doing it to boost their image but simultaneously we musn't be too cynical if they are genuinely trying to help people

Although I empathise with the points Marina Hyde makes, you have to bear in mind that this is a woman who dislikes the cult of celebrity and it's involement with philanthropy to such a degree that..........................­.she went out with PIERS MORGAN. Not your bog standard celebrity idiot, but one of epic proportions. One might call her a hypocrite.
