This short is directed by Fede Alvarez. Video courtesy of Robots Dreams. As of 11.30.09, according to SciFi Wire, "The video so impressed Sam Raimi that his Ghost House Pictures has made a deal with Alvarez to direct a movie based on the short, Variety reports. Kinda like District 9 director Neill Blomkamp, whose sci-fi movie grew out of a video short." Another action packed robot film!

  • woah this is an awesom short film, i could see that in a holleywood film, and the end where the robots connect to destroy everything is pure genius. you could use that and put like "72 hours earlier" at the end of that and make a movie

  • This is a great vid. Partly inspired me to build my giant killer robot. Check my vids to see my bot.

  • I first watched this video a 1.5 years ago. Loved it. Glad @fedalvar is getting the attention he deserves.

  • @Jak00125 Just to disagree. I liked 28 Weeks Later, but 28 Days Later felt much more original and left more of an emotional impact that 'weeks ever did.

  • This video is pretty awesome.

It also just made me want an X-Com game developed with giant robots in it.

    Which would be totally awesome.

  • The direction is good. Use of CGI is also good. I'm more concerned with the script for the Evil Dead remake. A great director can only do so much with a bad script.

BTW: I thought 28 Weeks Later was superior to 28 Days Later in every way.

  • @Wobermen "In the House – In a Heartbeat" by John Murphy (not Brian Eno)

  • @MasterBolitz Outstanding Job, The Explosions look awesome.

  • @zmontgo john merphy

  • "in a heart beat" by I think Brian Eno, it's off the 28 days & 28 weeks soundtrack.
