@kratos69xx Sony is a patent owner, consisting of 17 companies..Microsoft can get any of the other 16 companies to develop the Blu ray drive if they wanted nintendo can do the same.. Sony holds the most patents related to the disc design structure..And Panasonic holds the most patents in the technology..

I'm not a troll wacko. I genuinely believed that Sony created Blu Ray. I didn't realize they made it with a bunch of other companies until someone corrected me.

@hoodedkillaray there are like 10 companies who created blu ray technology and sony contributed the most to the tech and they own the rights to the logo there is a huge committie callled like the blu ray disc asscoation which now has a shit ton of companies in it. sony is the primary creator of blu ray and the only reason LG sued sony was because sony was suing LG over phones
