  • He gets redlighted for squat depth that is now getting white lights in some organizations. It's a tragedy that he died so young and it's sad that powerlifting has been tainted by some poor organizations.

  • It's sad that he died so young. He was on his way to changing the face of powerlifting.

  • Big Dave was definetly years ahead of his time. One of the biggest tragedies of the sporting world was his untimely demise. Yes that squat would've passed in most federations now days. Could anyone now days squat that much wt. in an old single ply like he used? I doubt it.

  • Dave was one of the nicest guys I ever met and watching Big Shultz spot him at Coffee's will be forever in my memory. Dave always had time to give advice to any who asked.,,,,,,,,,Big Man HUGE HEART!

  • Holy shit! 1045 pounds in single ply gear back in what year? This is insanity. He made it look easy too. The only guy near this power in today's world in the squat is Henry Thomason. Not to take away from Robert Wilkerson, Scot Cartwright and that Russian guy, but this is crazy.

  • that was just a cunt high, but today in some feds he buried it.squatting has gone to shit the leviathan has ruined the sport in my opinon, there is an army of high squatters out there sitting in a leviathan chair.

  • all those dudes are fuckin dead man

  • THATS MY MOMS EX!!

  • Imagine the totals Dave Pasanella would have nowadays with all of the modern accessories available. This guy was an AMAZING lifter!

  • Dave was my friend. I remember spotting him at Coffee's Gym one day when he did 1000 for a double, hoping and praying he would make it and not dump it on me. Of course he made it.

He was a great man, great lifter, and great friend to everyone. RIP Dave.

  • That much weight walked out Damn
