Gaming on the Acer Aspire One: Free Online FPS pt. 1

first of all let me say that the game, studio, soundtrack, and pretty much everything about this game is COPYRIGHT that being said, i hope people don't flag the sound of my game review.

This is on the Acer Aspire One, 8.9inch screen, netbook.
It has:
1.6Ghz Intel Atom processor
1 Gb of RAM
Mobile Intel 945GSE Express Chipset
Intel Graphics Media Accelerator (GMA) 950
160GB hardrive
WinXP SP 3
6 cell battery
Note: top VRAM is 224, which is shared from the 1 GB of normal RAM

I was thinking of getting a dell mini 1018

It has:

1.66Ghz Intel Atom processor

1 Gb of RAM

Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 3150

250GB hardrive

Windows seven starter. Is it fair to assume this would have similair gaming performance to your Aspire One? I really want to play FEAR on it

@stuffit321 it should have similar performances, possibly better because the 3150 supposedly works better

although there are alot of other netbooks that can run alot faster, and have dedicated video cards that are pretty cheap, like my new netbook that i have

@sirmousalot11 True but unforetunately in New Zealand we do not get the wide range of netbooks released here as in america so the only options for netbooks that can play games well are the Asus eee 1201PN, which is too expensive for me and I dont want the bulk added by the 12 inch screen, or a preowned HP mini 311 which I might consider but I'm not sure how well the first ION preforms, especially the LE version, which I think is restricted or underclocked or something? not too sure

@stuffit321 well actually the only thing that's restricted about the LE is that it doesn't have direct x 10.1 support , but many games have direct x 9 support which is still better than the dell 1018 mini (mainly because it has a dedicated video card) it can play Modern Warfare at low and medium settings
