  • Now that I have been outed! Yes, I really liked Huang's more subtle and flowing interpretation of the forms. Very fluid. Wang called him 'little ghost' because he was so evasive and yeilding, and Wang, with his huge bulk, was more direct(in your face, as we would say these days).

  • I know of Master Huang through the Ba Kua Chang Journal, and have always wanted to see what Wang's PaKua looks like. Apparently Wang Shu-Jin only taught the entirety of his system to other I Guan Daoists.

  • I wrote those articles in Pa Kua Chang Journal. And you are right, Wang Shu-jin only taught the full "curriculum" to Yi Guan Daoists. Master Huang's method is somewhat different from Master Wang, but mostly because of body type and temperment. I am glad you enjoyed the video.

  • Thank you very much for posting this, I have heard that Huan Jin-Sheng is highly skilled in Bagua. Interesting also to see an I-Guan Daoist shrine in the background.

  • Yes, Master Huang is very highly skilled and was a student of Wang Shu-Jin for three decades. Master Huang is a priest in the same I Guan Daoist order of Wang Shu-Jin. Do you know him or the style?

  • what exerices or drills do you use to get the student to execute the techniqus that are in the forms against a resisting opponent.

  • You must be Kent Howard then. Your articles were very interesting, and thank you again for posting the video - youtube is a great resource for finding such rare footage!
