The Bon Scott era was my favorite period of AC/DC. A shame Bon didn't get help to conquer his vices. Lord knows how much more amazing music he would have put out if he were still alive today. Rest in peace Bon.

@bongoloid77 For those about to rock/flick of the switch/fly on the wall/blow up your video are GREAT albums, its an absolute ATROCIOUS thing to say you should never listen to any AC/DC album, you should be ashamed of saying that!

It's still a shame to me that the "so close people" cannot try and save someone they say they care about. If I was in a band and I would see one mate going to kill himself I would do anything to help. But I will never understand what's going on in Showbiz anyway. Too many giants passed away too soon - that is very, very sad...

@bongoloid77 i agree,ac dc was bon and angus.i did notice that some,or all,the songs ac dc did with bon were rereleased and resung with brian johnson.i always thought that brian was the orig lead singer til i found a '78 vid that i heard brian and the band sing cos brian's voice was my introduction to ac dc

I think Bon had a little bit more charisma than Brian and a different style, but I also like Brian's style, he was a good match for the band

I think Bon Scott and Brian Johnson are both awesome. I have no preference between them.

Bon was AC in the 70s and Brian was DC in the 80s... Back in Black is the only Brian era album I've owned and it rocks... but there is no real need to listen to them after BinB because ACDC were at their best in the 70s with Bon and much stronger, classic material... but if you went to see them live in the 80s Brian was every bit as hearty as Bon on vocals and that kept a great Rock band going. I saw em at Donnington 91 and it was one of the best rock gigs ever... so thank GOD they carried on.
