Great song and powerful images that brought me to tears!! I am so happy to know that now that I am a vegan--I alone am saving 200 animals a year--could you imagine the impact on the environment if even 5% of the population were vegan--we could change the world!!

I'm glad I have a clear conscience. I would have to wonder how many meat eaters would find human infant flesh "delicious" if they didn't know what they were eating ? Reassure them that the infant is organic, died peacefully, and they might feel better about things.

Thank you for this song and video! This message of compassion and justice must be spread. The needless, senseless cruelty must end - No "gOd" would sanction what we do to these billions and billions of innocent victims. You're right - It doesn't make sense! We can thrive on a plant base diet without the horrible guilt of sinful, NEEDLESS killing.

Interesting that she calls it the Sixth Commandment (exodus 20:13 Thou Shalt Not Kill), where just 11 verses later (exodus 20:24) it talks about making offerings to the Lord: “‘Make an altar of earth for me and sacrifice on it your burnt offerings and fellowship offerings, your sheep and goats and your cattle."
I'm absolutely anti-animal cruelty, but don't think that the Sixth Commandment is a good basis for why not to kill animals.

beautiful message.i became veg because i refuse to have an animal kill for my consomption.i do not wear fur for the same reason.it is a beginning movement as we are minority but its a start and that matter.i am doing this mostly because i oppose the pain animals are suffering.if the animals were to live a good life and they die i would not be oppose to people eating the dead animal anymore that once i am dead i hope body parts can save lives & my ashes return to earth.circle of life.proper way

Absolutely agree with this message. Love your video and applaud your conviction.

I am concerned at your inappropriate and emotive use of language in an attempt to engender sympathy for your vegan/vegetarian cause. I refer specifically to the use of these expressions "habitual genocide", "kill our brethren", "a child's your food", "a mother's forsaken a child she carried". Genocide, brethren and child are all words relating to human beings and not animals. If I listened to this with my eyes closed I would swear that you were actually against anthropophagy as most people are

Saludos.

Thank you! The message is so potent!

Thanks for this powerful video! Spread the word!

@Jammogears Hey that's cool, I'm completely non-religious myself so I'm certainly not doing it for a higher power as you may have suspected, but I think the issue is so important that I support any group's efforts to promote a plant-based lifestyle, even if their views on matters outside the subject are different to mine. Good to hear your views too. Cheers an happy holidays to you too!
-
@chrisnoaro1 I am a vegetarian, the only difference between us is that you believe you are doing this for a supposed higher power if I am not mistaken, and I am doing this because I don't like meat. No offence meant my friend, just speaking my mind. Happy holidays.
-
@Jammogears The only reason there's the overpopulation of animals you refer to is that people are eating & wearing them, thereby creating the demand & ridiculous unnatural levels of breeding. There would be far less painful lives & deaths if more people developed some empathy & changed behaviour accordingly. As for 'dreaming', people are waking up to the perils of an animal based diet- maybe you'll be among the last to use your 'sense, reason & intellect'. Get with it before it's too late!
-
To be honest I find it most strange that Christianity and vegetarianism/veganism are linked to this extent. As Galileo Galilei said, "I do not feel obliged to believe that the same God who endowed us with sense, reason, and intellect, had intended for us to forgo their use." So, stop praying for a 'revolution'. If you believe that no one in the world should eat meat: Firstly, you're dreaming. Secondly, if no one ate meat more animals would die a painful death of over-population and starvation.

...makes me speechless, thank you for your powerful work, PEACE

This is amazing! Such a powerful video! So true, this shows the true meaning of "Thou Shall Not Kill".
@loucaro123 My friend, perhaps the person who defined those words was a speciesist, but I am not. A mother cow bears a calf which is her child, and to the calf, the cow is her mother. Both experience tremendous grief on being forcibly separated. I would recommend a documentary entitled The Emotional World of Farm Animals". Animals also feel pain, sorrow and joy. They are not our possessions, and have a right to keep their most precious asset : Life. I wish you peace, as I do all living beings.
