Dear athompson7,

Thank you for the possitive feedback on my small Organic cottage designs. My first sod roof design was built over 40 years ago. My brother, myself and a few friends dug a "fort into the earth with a roof of wood and wild grass sod. It was cool on hot summer days, remained warm in the winter, it even had a fireplace. Today I am still designing, with a more "refined character" growing from the roots of Organic architecture and a small budget.

Not since Frank Lloyd Wight's, Jacob's Residence, has beautiful natural architecture been made available to the persons of modest income. With more of humanity in need of honest affordable homes than ever in history, and the earth's resources stressed, it is wonderful to see these inspiring solar designs. James H. Klippel has created organic solar cottages for limited budget, but with unlimited artistic character.
