I take it this this rig has minimum increment steps of 1Hz? Pretty impressive!

I was able to get an FSK modulated signal and a beacon at 382 kHz at 306.5 kHz with both the BT878 and my Grundig G5. I know there's supposed to be WWVB down at 60kHz--my clocks can synchronize to it just fine, but I can't make it out in the waterfall. I wish I had a portable radio capable of going that low, with the BT878 I can only make one recording, then I have to restart Ubuntu, and only arecord works with it, so I can't do it real time. (feel free to cry me a river).

HI Jan ! For this test I used an homemade converter with SO42P mixer. I've lose the schematic diagram but a similar item can found on Google by searching SO42P vlf converter.
The signals in the test can be better... I forgotten the attenuator at home :-(

Where are you getting these signals? I tried using a BT878 capture ADC with ferrite attached to get everything below 400 Khz but I get only noise and some continuous sine carriers. I'm in the USA.

I made this test some weeks ago in a deserted place, distant to every noise source. You need a sensitive receiver and a good antenna. However, also 10 meter of wire are sufficient to receiver lots of signals. Enrico.
