This is really an Xacti C4 microphone modification test :)
Went to get a DVD out (Pixar's "Up", very enjoyable movie!) and stopped off to look at a huge yacht, "Eos". Apparently the world's largest at 92.92m (304.86ft) long.

See: http://www.superyachttimes.com/editorial/3/article/id/537 for more info if you're into yachts.
Actually, this one's better as it has pics of it in this very drydock: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eos_(yacht)

The other one I mention, "Nirvana": http://www.vitters.com/recent_yachts_spec.asp?id=68

  • why the misleading title? World's largest sailing yacht? Where is it ? I have watched 4 minutes of a motorcycle ride without a hint of a yacht.

  • @stinkingdog101 G'day mate, I ride down to have a quick look at the yacht at about 4:20 ish and post a bunch of links to information about it.

Just the sheer height of the masts amazed me, I've never seen anything so tall in Lyttleton before, it was higher than some of the surrounding hills!

  • I know New Zealand has its problems, just like any country, but what the people of Christchurch have on Banks Peninsula is a slice of heaven. I also know that 99.99% of those people don't know its there. Makes it better for the rest of us who appreciate it I guess. Keep up the good work and good on ya. jon

  • @emeraudecp328cbr Tell me about it! I loved it here probably a bit more than most before I went overseas, but when I came back I loved much, much more! It's easy to appreciate things once you don't have them anymore ...

My wife says "lets go away on holiday somewhere", I say "Why? Look at where we live!" :)

    Cheers for the comments!

  • G'day Peeteey, I lived in Lyttelton for 4 years and you brought back some great memories going round cass bay into Lyttelton. I lived above the gravings dock so spent my spare time watching the activities in and out of the dock. Man, memories, and I miss the place so much. You could do a lot with that. If you researched a heap of stuff for a trip and spoke about it en route I am sure you could sell it on the net to bikers who may be thinking of doing a trip in NZ. Go for it. thanks again, Jon L.

  • @emeraudecp328cbr G'day, glad it brought back happy memories for you! That is the general aim of my vids, to show a little slice of somewhere some people may not have seen, or not seen for a long time.

An North American viewer paid me a nice compliment, he said he went to the UK and before he went, he used my vids to get a feel for how it looks driving on the left :)

Most of my vids are around this general area, or Chch or Banks Peninsular. I love it!

    Cheers for the comment!

  • Arrr Java lad! Funnily enough I've been called 'one eyed pete' before at a pirate themed party and some other people I know seem to say Arrr to almost anything so your comment made me laugh!

I wouldn't give Jack Sparrow a lift because he wobbles around so much he'd probably make us fall off :)

Good idea with the audio channels, funny the little things that can make a big difference, cheers man.

  • Don't know why, but for some reason I thought 'Aarg, One Eyed Pete' when I saw the circular camera lens ;)

The thought was future reinforced by the face that you were look at a ship which kind of look piretty. Was almost expecting Jack Sparrow to tap you on the back and ask for a pillion up the road to The Pearl.

Sounds cool, only thiny thing switch the audio chanels around as your voice is coming out of the right but your head is on the left of the camera, but you have a great setup there.
