The fangs are custom-made to fit the actors' teeth. So ERW has wide teeth that need huge fangs to make them fit in with her teeth.

@Utada379 lol In this case "loosely" isn't very accurate. Alan Ball is writing fan fiction. He's not following the books AT ALL. ;-) He's just taken the names of the characters, the places and some of the secondary characters and is messing around with them. I'm not a books purist, I love what he did with Eric's Maker and I love Jessica, but seriously, sometimes I wonder what I'm seeing. As I said, fan fiction. But well, I know he's on Team Bill and the books are more Team Eric, so...

@Utada379 I have been watching the fourth season and I admit I am pretty much obsessed with it!! I have to find the rest of it but I really do like it. I understand that it is not meant to follow the books to the core most films and shows based on books are only loosely based on them anyway. Thanks for the recommendation I am enjoying it greatly!!

@tweetyluv1 You should give it a chance. In all honestly, Alan Ball said the show is loosely based on the books. It's not supposed to stick to it exactly. You should really watch it.
