This is a great recording of a classic band piece that is a kind of rite of passage for all bands that think they are of high caliber. I played this 2x when I was in HS (bass clarinet!), and hearing it again makes me realize that even just listening to it, you get nervous, because you know HOW MUCH there is that can go wrong.
Really great job here!

Clarinet part is insane! When my friend and I saw it we just started uncontrollably laughing because of the "Are you serious about this?!" runs at the end. It's a ton of fun though! xD

Nicest recording of this. Played it when I was a freshman in high school - in 1975. If it's not crisp and tight, it sounds like garbage; if it's tight, in tune, and together, it's one of the best pieces ever. Sort of reminds me of "Star Wars" of Williams meets "Mars" of Holst meets "Bolero" of Ravel.
