  • @venomousverse Europe's total defense spending is something like 1.7% GDP, whereas yours is about 4.1%. If they scaled up to match your percentage spent on defense, they'd dwarf your military spending. I suggest not encouraging Europe to be more militant, anyways, for the good of Europeans and Americans alike.

  • Yeah thanks, I was not into the specific nature of NBG, more about some political aspects that are related to it. But yeah, gotta admit that I messed that one up :D

  • @Zombibombi62 not an battalion, it's an brigade

  • Good point there, I agree. We can see that Europe no more can stand shattered, we must unite. Although cultural- and language-issues may turn out to be quite problematic, but simplified vision that I came up with is that basically hard languages would be taught in early age, like finnish and german, easier languages in older age, like english and swedish. However, when it comes to police, I agree with you. Military co-op should be stopped right now, and insted of co-op, armies should be united

  • Not exactly, Europol is more like Interpol in nature, and doesn't really have much power to investigate independently. It's more like a database of information submitted by the individual police-forces of each member state, but again it isn't used nearly as much as it could be by the member-states and is pretty much neutered in terms of enforcement. What I propose is a force under the EU with arrest capabilities and a mandate strictly not exceeding people and drug trafficking.

  • Doesn't Europol already exist for that very purpose? You tell me if I'm wrong :D

  • I really hope so, although I would also hope that should an EU state come to pass, we would be a good bit more federalist in nature than the USA. The most pressing matter that I can see would be the EU extending into policing. What we need is an EU equivilant of the FBI, with arrest powers across all EU states. Their mandate should only extend to the investigation of human trafficking, drug smuggling and white-collar crime, as these often operate without regard for the borders of member states.

  • lol, So I watch this vid to see what Europe is up to in Chad, and I see all these anti-American comments. Attack us? We spend more on our military than all of Europe, Russia, and China combined. If that's how you guys really feel then go for it.

  • haha

  • she didn`t say a word about the austrians soldiers!!!
