Like all Nick Cave and Warren Ellis songs, I think it's all in the bass. The really strong undertones give it that character that makes it so distinctive and sets up a nice contrast with the lonely wails of the violin. Truly beautiful music, I think these guys are the best in the business at the moment :)

That was really nice. Now I'm scared shitless.

Film making and music making of the highest order!

haven't seen the road yet, hope it's good, especially since I loved the proposition (hillcoat) and no country for old men (mccarthy).
the proposition - I liked it when I first saw it, and every year that's gone by I think more and more "that was one of the best movies of recent decades." More of this type of creativity is surely needed.
With such movies as this and HBO's Deadwood, it looks like we may be seeing a fascinating new take on violent 19th century life on the edges of civilization.
Beautiful. Haunting. Brilliant.

Whoa, incredibly beautiful. I feel much better about these guys composing the score for "The Road".
