My grandfather died of cancer yesterday. I was driving in my mom's car and the song that was playing when I turned to GD radio was Brokedown Palace. Thank you so much for this song, it has started the healing process and I know it has touched so many people. The GD have this amazing power to heal with music, again, thank you.

@ruthanneswanson well it was the night I went from being a dead fan to being a deadhead. I was supposed to go home the next day and instead I went on tour. This song was my soft landing after the Terrapin (see video ZGeR5VYDmXs)shot me into orbit. They dragged me deep into space and took me apart and then let me glide gently back down to earth. I went to most shows this year, and most of 89 through summer 91 and am very glad I did.

I was at this show. I had already been to several but the Hampton run in '87 was the pivot on which my life turned. Thank you very much for posting this.
