@sharkyblue97 OK, you need 2 cables. one cable goes from your guitar to this pedal's input jack. the other goes from the pedal's output to amp's input. hope you can make it!! :)

I have this one and I'm happy!

a lil on the noisy side, I found if u use the overdrive on a small practice amp with this pedal u get more crunch but you'll have to turn the guitar knob down a bit, but it kinda sucks for clean solos.

@HIM666dark6light thats wat a distortion knob is for

They are cheap but sound good as hell

wich one is better 4 me this FAB Metal, or FAB Distortion; i play stuff like Iron Maiden, Judas priest, Megadeth, Annihilator, Skid Row and my guitar have active pickups
-my english is too bad, i know-
-
This is not a stombbox?
-
Damn, glad i bought the distortion one instead lol, this sounds way too heavy for my taste.

what is the difference between a fab metal distortion to a simple fab distortion?
-
Sounds like the Crate Stealth of pedals. If the fab overdrive was a plexi, the fab distortion a JCM2000, this one is a crate stealth. Then again, I've heard demos of this pedal done through a clean 1x12 combo and mic'ed with a 57, and I gotta say it really ain't bad for a $15 high-gain sound. I'd personally rather just have a high-gain amp for heavy stuff, even if it means I have to record heavy stuff with my peavey classic-30 boosted up from with duncan twin tube classic (clean boost setting).
whats the difference between tis FAB metal and Coolcat Metal CM1? i have the second one ( very cool indeed)

@elmingodotcom FAB is cheaper in plastic case, and CM1 is true-bypass in metal housing. CM1 should be better in sound and durability, but FAB metal is still good for its pricing.

@Adys301 Why don't you ask your dealer who you purchased it from? Or just try changing batteries.

@lucudanimut Not that big noise. Very good sound and reasonable price.
