  • @DaDa2Phlux And they were a Frisco band. This is probably an arrangement they'd already had worked out before the British Invasion.

  • @moxie96 NO, the lead singer here is Sal Valentino and the group is The Beau Brummels, Tou're confusing him with Zal (nee Zalman) Yanovsky, guitarist from The Lovin' Spoonful.

  • one person is sad....

  • He has an amazing voice

  • this is my favorite brummels song

  • @skipvia No you mean Zal (shortened from Zalman) I don't feel they look anything alike but also Zal passed on in 2004 or so.

  • Sounds more like a Frisco band ....at this point.

  • Actually, I should have said Zal Yanovsky, not Sal. Great, versatile guitarist. I don't believe anyone ever had as much fun performing as did Zal.

  • They're referring to Sal Valentino, BB's lead singer, not Sal Yanovsky of the Lovin' Spoonful. There is a passing resemblance there, though.

  • The Beau Brummels at their best. "Sad Little Girl", penned by leader Ron Elliott, was the b-side to their final Autumn 45, "Good Time Music", written by John Sebastian of the Lovin' Spoonful.
