what pedals do you recommend to play pixies, im from brazil and one pedal is really expensive, so i cant waste on a useless pedal can you play pavement? bye

@FernandoPixies I don't really think you need many pedals to play their earlier stuff. It's all about how good your distortion is on your amp, it needs to be able to get singing distortion. Since my amps don't really get very distorted, I run a boost pedal (just increases volume), or I just use humbuckers. Sometimes I use a Tech 21 Oxford pedal.
If you want to play leads, you need a reverb pedal, or if it's on your amp, that's fine. They use tremolo here and there. Overall, not too many pedals.

Can you show how he plays it though the other ways? IF you watch live stuff of the pixies and this song he sometimes plays it somewhere near the 7th or 9th fret on the lower strings

@Standard420247 It's actually pretty simple. Barre the D-G-B strings at the 7th fret and then it's the exact same strumming pattern except the hammer on section is just the D string at the 9th fret, and for the second chord, hammer on at the 8th fret. This results in the second chord being an augmented chord rather than the standard F#m.

what pedals do you use
FernandoPixies 2 months ago
@FernandoPixies Tech 21 Oxford for overdrive, Electro Harmonix LPB-1 for boost into the overdrive, EH Holy Grail for reverb, and I can't remember but some no-name tremolo pedal.
