I have considered freeflight with a few of my birds. Really was into it a couple years ago! Oh my BE2 can fly and I know he would be great! Now Ronnie my galah and Daphne ducorps could be too! I have come to the conclusion after seeing many many times two Cooper's around my yard, on my aviary, etc... NO WAY! Not here! Today I had a visit from the Coopers and caught them on video with my little camera. Sorry hard to see! They caught a squirrel in my huge eucalyptus and took it too another one and dropped it. It happened all so fast and that squirrel was tore up! I admire some freeflier's but NO that I wouldn't be because I know Inland CA and some beach are in Huntington Beach that I know I would NEVER fly one of my birds! Peregrine was seen just the other day at Bolsa Chica Refuge. I go there!
I am so glad I could not see details. I appreciate the circle of life, food chain, etc. I just don't like to view the death. I'm glad the Coopers are able to live and thrive. I am also glad they don't do it on your babies. Thank you for sharing.
