Similarly to what I did for some old XNA projects, I've updated some Flash pieces work with Windows 7's native multi-touch. I updated one of my first multi-touch pieces, "Gardening", and the aquarium collab project we did with Yellena James. I also ported over some code I was doing in Cinder to make cheesy multi-touch water ripples.
Surprisingly, Flash's multi-touch capabilities and gesture recognition have noticeably more overhead than my TUIO/OSC version, and as a result are generally slower. However, using these with the 3M screen gives more accuracy, and after some optimization, I got the water (in window) and gardening (fullscreen) demos up to 60fps. The aquarium stays at 30fps to match timeline animations.
The nice thing is that these are way more portable than before. No CCV or video cameras. Just launch the app and touch the monitor. :)
