martin has the voice of the angels from above. its different from daves baritone voice in every aspect.

@madtownmadman I have to echo what you said...while their voices are distinctive, there are indeed instances where their voices sound quite a like. It's almost as if Martin can channel Dave's voice at times. Both are so great in their own rights.

@hellchild65 Yeah, after listening to Depeche Mode for a while (as in some years, some years ago) I finally realized that Martin sang quite a few songs. Martin's voice, and Dave's voice are a lot different from each other. But at the same time, theres instances where they sound strikingly similar. Violator through Ultra, are good examples of such instances. Only after you identify each voice, will the similarities seem to dissipate.

I believe these are some of the best words ever written by Martin Gore. Man, the way he reveals himself infront of so many people, that takes a lot of balls to allow that kind of vulnerabilty before literally thousands. I absolutely love his passion. Him and Jim Morrison are the best electrical poets ever....
