Massive Sawfish Striking Our Boat

Shot in un-stunning Low Definition (LD) video, these are a few old clips from 2002 of a massive sawfish striking at one of the SharkLab's boats with its rostrum.

We were following this giant Smalltooth Sawfish in a 16' Proline for several minutes on the banks to the east of Bimini, Bahamas, and finally the fish had enough and defensively struck at the hull of our boat.

Sawfish are incredible animals that are only dangerous if heavily provoked. They are critically endangered and need desperate protection.
