Walikum Salam thanks for your support and interest. Inshallah I will perhaps share my thoughts with you on the subject of her book,. It's been awhile since I read it, so I will have to revisit some of her points to see how I reacted it it. I recall not really agreeing with MOST of what she said, but I will need to refresh my memory. Salam.

Mohamed married a six year old girl and consummated the marriage with her when she turned 9. This is from islamic sources. This is a big part of the reason that I reject Islam despite being able to trace my paternal lineage to early muslims.

that a man and his WIFE (as in the one he lived his LIFE with) would enjoy paradise TOGETHER. believe it or not, the phrase that wound up being translated to mean "virgins" was actually "white grapes" which is a hearkening to christian symbolism. if you really want to understand the quran you need to learn syriac and latin and a few other languages other than arabic.

wow... i am muslim and that is the stupidest thing i've ever heard. first of all the hadith is widely accepted. second of all it does not say anything about women receiving a similar reward. lastly it is based on a part of the quran that has been misread/translated because the quran is not written in a "pure arabic" i.e. it uses words that are transliterated into arabic and are actually borrowed from other languages. the hadith is in direct contradiction to the part of the quran which states

The future of a Christian is not vague but certainly logical as it affords that God would make them like Him and not in a body of flesh as flesh does not last forever but that it would be a spiritual body that indeed lasts forever. The pleasure is seeing God and being His people not anthropocentric drivel. This world view is certainly flawed on many levels.

Islam gives a solid conception of heaven, with specific examples of the pleasures. The best of which is the peace of seeing God.

This is not like the Christian heaven where it is a vague conception of some godly existence.
