  • Now that's a good demo. Thanks!

  • @sandalum ha ha thanks :)

  • Love this vid. I wish our farmers (Detroit, Michigan) market carried them but I have not seen them. Thanks for another great video ladies

  • yeah, they tend to be much more tropical. but if you are ever in california during the spring or late winter, they are ripe then.

  • Regarding your request for unusual fruits to review....some of my favorite new fruits since I moved to CA are jujubes (Fresh, yum! although dried is cool too, like a date you can grow in your own back yard), fuyu persimmons, and mulberries (persian/pakistani). I'd love it if you could review pawpaw since I'm curious what that's like and have heard you can grow it in northern CA. Thanks!

  • ...as you can only yield fruit from one of the sexes (i have to look up which one, i foget but i think it is the male plant). we will do a papaya video at some point :) We have a mulberry tree...incredibly yummy! we llike hachiya persimmons best, but fuyu are tasty too. thanks for the jujube suyggestion, we have to find some and then review them, as we have not tried them yet! but now we are salivating for some! thanks so much ....

  • thanks for the suggestions! We will be doing more strange fruit videos...see our loquat video :) Paw PAw is the same thing as papaya. while we visited tasmania, we noticed everyone calls it pawpaw there. :) i do know it grows well in mexico and you can find plants at local garden stores here, so it must do well in southern california. northern cal? not sure, perhaps! they are very easy to grow from seed, but you have to wait till they get older to determine the sex of the plant...

  • thanks!

  • love the dance

  • the video on cherimoya was already posted...not sure if you saw it or if you thought it was an upcoming one. anyway, have fun!
