  • The way he bends into the spins and turns is amazing (the slave Angel or something) wow what an amazingly athletic dancer!!

  • Julie Kent is horrible. There's a disconnection between her rather robotic arms and the rest of her body that make her dancing look kinda messy. If you want to see a really good Medora, I recommend russianballetvideo's full-length "Le Corsaire" with Viktoria Tereshkina from the Kirov/Mariinsky.

  • @thebluespirit123 It's the dancer who is stiff and boring... the choreography is not to blame for that. Watch this video of Le Corsaire by the Mariinsky and see the difference for yourself /watch?v=iGSsb7rQ2cI&t=5m25s

Oh, and I have no intention whatsoever in picking up a fight.

  • @theamazingsoter OH - and if you're just trying to pick a fight - I guess I'm not that good at fighting - as custer said "people who like to sling mud are good at it - don't do it - you'll get all DIRTY and they'll enjoy it..." or in your case just be annoyed by my comments ...sorry...I really don't mean to be offensive....{:'

  • @theamazingsoter well...I've studied it and it does seem like a good base for form and technique - for OTHER dance styles to be integrated with - but stale when done from a ballet that is about a century old ...I was just saying that the dance moves in THIS one are stiff I guess - sorry!

  • @thebluespirit123 I have no idea what you're talking about, and neither do you - ballet dancing is anything but an "archaic and stiff" dance form...

  • @theamazingsoter I guess it depends on your own stylistic choice - I prefer if you're gonna dance to an archaic and stiff form of dancing like ballet - with moves from another century - that are not updated - than it's better to DO IT STIFF and robotic - to show off your athletic skill and your skills in the art of BALLET which is more like a robot in and of it'self than to try to make it fluffy and unrealistic to yourself....? just a thought....my own opinion - you have yours...(:

  • Angel corella is the best!

  • this is an amazing moment for the audience! that last variation was so perfect! the audience just felt it, they are so enthousiastic!
