hi! Im from germany. I thing, the UBB is great. My aunt is working there.

I first rode this railroad in 1969 when you had to take a ferry from Wolgast onto the island. At first it was pulled by a steam locomotive. On my last visit to the island in 1974 it was pulled by a diesel but the steam engine was parked within site of my aunt and uncles house in Seebad Ahlbeck. I saw them light the fire early one morning but don't remember much more about it. It is a beautiful little transit system now. Using Google Earth I was able to locate my aunt and uncles house.

it istn true that it only drive on the island usedom it also drive to greifswald and stralsund... and this citys arent on the island of usedom :)

*omg* firstly the UBB ONLY drove on the island...now - TODAY - they drive from usedom to wolgast,züssow,stralsund and barth...greifswald is a station where the "usedom-express" from berlin and frankfurt/main make a short stop
