My son-in-law just gave me his almost new Husky Hydro Surge 1600 psi pressure washer. It has only 3 hours of time on it and it has like a locked rotor on the motor or the pump is seized or whatever. When you turn it on the motor just hums. I am an electrician and I suspect the pump is jammed. I read post by NRP1991 that says add pump saver yearly. Can someone give me some information on this. Many thanks. Ron.

@rhinohippo Well, I've been using a 1600 PSI electric pressure washer, and you pry would want something that's around 2000 PSI for what you're doing, I had mold (minor) Took me a whole and there's still some here and there. Try (if you can) for a gas pressure washer within the range of 2000 - 2500 PSI. It'll work wonders and will save time.

I got some pretty bad black mold on my deck. It is that composite material, which was supposed to be no-maintenance but turned out to be a disaster in that it is highly susceptible to black mold.
Do you think this unit could remove black mold? Thanks for any answers or opiniions.
