You are quite stupid , sorry to say. You're very arrogant. Why post videos, and comments that are stupid, if you don't have any basic knowledge of the deaf or HOH life?
-
You have to realise that you were making comments about a community, society and culture of which you must have very little, if any, knowledge. I don't claim to have the best knowledge myself although it doesn't take much to have the respect and sense not to pass comments on something you don't know about or understand. I hope you at least understand what you have done here and can correct it before it causes any more offense.

I normally have a policy of staying out of YouTube arguements (mostly because you see pointless strings of racist and homophobic comments under videos of puppies and other such equally innocent subjects and so the whole idea seems futile) however I simply had to make an exception for this. I fail to see anything odd or amusing about this. It's a choir arranged and performing a song in another language, simple as.

You really ought to be ashamed of yourself grraadd! Equality does NOT exist in your world. I hope one day you loose your hearing and get rejected by the deaf community!
-
I wish there was a more harsher word for you than the word cunt, cos cunt would be something of a compliment to you.
-
@grraadd The fact you think they're actually singing just shows how stupid you are. They are SIGNING along to a song which is spiritual and they are providing Deaf people to be able to actually understand a song through signing and through the rhythm.
-
@grraadd Seriously, you are so fucking ignorant it's just embarassing, Deaf people are taxpayers too, they have a right to watch telly in their own language and something that is about THEIR communitiy.
They pay to wacth telly 24/7 in a language that is it not their first, and are provided with absolute shite subtitling from RTE, and even worse by TV3 so having access to a measly 5 hours a year of programming in their own language aka Irish Sign Language is somewhat deserving.
-
Shame on you grraadd, whatever your real name are... sneak attack such a wonderful group who strives to make their place in society... inability to hear doesnt mean Deaf cant sing... they can sign... Attacking and ridiculing Deaf people earns your place among the racists, ageists, homophobias, sexists... however, instead of being angry at you, I rather feel sorry for you for being narrow-minded and backward asshole...
-
@grraadd: go and learn sign language before you go and sprout a lot of crap about something you don't understand :-) unless you are mentally incapable of learning a language such as Irish Sign Language...perhaps your parents can help you enrol and attend ISL classes? :-D

've come across stupidity and arrogance before in dealing with hearing people who know nothing about Deaf people, but I'm hard pressed to remember any comments as dripping with utter stupidity as yours. "Where were their parents"? Are you serious? That has to rank as the most oppressive, patronizing and offensive comment about deaf people I have seen in quite a while. You should be ashamed.
Bad situation:
I would love to click on "don´t like" for your video-discription! It´s neither humorouse nor does it fit.
But if I did - it would seem like I don´t like the vid content - which isn´t true.
So I decide to click neither one or another.

@Lilienfilme good for both of us ;-)
There are great disciplines in which deaf or blind people can compete and they successfully do, but singing isn't one of them. By the way all of these people are mute too? Where were their parents for love of God???

What's with the attitude in the description of this clip? They're a Deaf choir. They sign, and they do a damn good job of it. Why mention Monty Python in the scoffing, patronising way that you do?

@mythyka because there are better things to compete in. Next act was a ventriloquist.... mute obviously - it caught me totally off guard. Looks like those television (public - taxpayer pays - no worries!) guys have got too much money on hand. OK let's organize signing competition with different categories and stuff, but mute ventriloquist doesn't make any sense (do they make fun of these people?).
