    At local anesthesia you're fully conscious, you don't feel pain but great numbness at the site of surgery. General anesthesia is a state of unconsciousness, you're "sleeping" during the surgery and do not remember anything at all when you wake up.

    No, local anesthetic does not put you to sleep. You just don't feel pain at the area where local anesthetic were applied.
