I've been playing for about six years: two of the years, when I had a teacher, I wasn't serious about playing; and the rest of the years I taught myself (NOT a good thing; should have stayed with a teacher).

The guitar I was playing is a Jackson DK2M; it was about $600 when I got it. :D
