This is a very moving piece. It is full of despair and almost morbid dejection but also hauntingly beautiful. The pianist brings out the sublime and the profound sorrow of this work.

@1812Beethovens9th I think Tchaikovsky originally wrote this pece for a dying relative...This pianist is obviously aiming for the uttermort respect behind tchaikovsky's own passion...

@Paulo78180 horowitz and rubinstein yes, both are great pianists, specially the latter, but the other 2 i dont know, is there in youtube anything from them that you find particularly good? if you could show me it would be much appreciated

It seems to be Nikolai Torakev, a young russian pianist.
