Figuratively speaking, Chinese knots are what paintbrushes must mean to a painter or writing brushes to a calligrapher. So I can express whatever I want to through the knots. Different techniques can be employed in the tying process to create all kinds of shapes and formations. Thats the beauty of Chinese knotting!
Chinese knots are meant to be delicate, refined, simple and elegant. Practice as much as you can, and anyone can put into the knots his own aesthetic sensitivity and emotions. And therein lies the beauty of a unique form of Chinese folk art.
