Nice smooth sound. That thing is built like a tank. :-)

@cengeb Even though 14-bit DACs were used, oversampling allowed full 16-bit resolution to be realised. It was due to the oversampling that these early Philips players were considered to sound better than early Japanese models.

@jaymorpheus11 There's no such thing as analogue CD's as far as I know, all CD's are digital, unless of course you're thinking of laser discs.
-
Is it true this cd system uses analog cd's?

IS'NT IT STUPID to try and evaluate a CD player through youtube?????
i would like to know how great quality an ipod touch 4 produce compared to a CD player?

@HAWXLEADER
CD player will win, every time, unless you load lossless music files onto the ipod. Only then the quality will be the same.

SACD's, or Super Audio CD's have been improving the capabilities of CD's and players, but, sadly, it never really caught on and hasn't had as much hype as redbook CD's
